Reed-Woven Turtle

From humble reeds growing along Thailand’s waterways, carefully harvested, sun-dried, and handwoven by skilled artisans, each strand is transformed into a mat rich with texture, pattern, and life.

These reeds, known as “Sedge” (locally called Kok), are a native plant deeply rooted in Thai craftsmanship. Unlike other weaving materials, sedge is naturally tougher, more flexible, and highly resilient, allowing it to endure pressure and daily use while maintaining its structure and beauty over time.
